Easton is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to join the Engineering Team at our Salt Lake manufacturing facility.


Job Summary

This is a hands-on and dynamic engineering position that works in cooperation with manufacturing Process Managers to study, design, build, implement, and test improvements to both new and existing manufacturing equipment and processes in support of carbon and aluminum tube manufacturing. Easton Manufacturing Engineers typically spend approximately 50%-75% of their work week assembling or troubleshooting equipment, with the remaining time dedicated to research, design, and specification activities. In addition, this position actively supports Easton's aggressive Lean Manufacturing Program and other duties as assigned.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, build, implement and test custom manufacturing equipment/machinery and processes
  • Participate and/or lead process improvement projects per Lean Manufacturing Program
  • Identify and propose opportunities for automation and improved manufacturing efficiency
  • Support manufacturing and engineering departments in Lean initiatives.


What You Need To Be

  • Approachable and smart with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Conscientious self-starter independently driven to accomplishment and on-time results
  • Have working knowledge of archery (target or bow hunting) preferred
  • Have good design and analytical skills complemented with a strong hands-on approach
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities


What You Need to Know

  • B.S. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in designing and building manufacturing equipment preferably in high volume consumer products
  • 1-3 years programming experience (PLC's, C++ or visual basic)
  • Familiarity with general manufacturing processes associated with aluminum and carbon
  • High level of proficiency with Solidworks 3D modeling
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and Lean Manufacturing concepts
